NEW in 2007! TEEN ROCK CLIMBING ADVENTURE> JULY 29-AUGUST 4
Ages 12-16 Cost $420
Two Spaces for boys only!
This new program will feature activities here at the camp including the ropes course and climbing wall, plus two days at local climbing areas in San Diego County. Camp out under the stars, learn about climbing equipment, techniques and climbing safety, and experience another side of Camp Stevens. Bus transportation to and from Camp is available.

TEEN BACKPACKING BASICS > July 1-6
Ages 13-17 Cost $280
This 6 day program will introduce participants to the basic skills of backpacking. Topics will include clothing, use and maintenance of equipment, packing and carrying gear, map and compass, food planning and preparation and low impact camping. Since this new program is primarily intended for beginners, each day’s hike will be relatively short. The trip will begin on Sunday as we pick up participants on the way to the eastern Sierra. We will hike into the Sierra on Monday afternoon, and hike out and return to the pickup point on Friday. Cost includes van transportation.
WHITE WATER RAFTING TRIP >JULY 8-13
Ages 12-18 Cost $570
Only 1 space available.
This trip includes a two-day white water raft trip on the Lower Kern River where we’ll be guided through Class II-IV rapids. Participants will learn to paddle and enjoy the beauty of the river. Other activities will include team building, the ropes course and much more. The trip begins and ends at the camp. Bus/van transportation is available.
TEEN BACKPACKING RITE OF PASSAGE TRIP> JULY 15-20
Ages 16-20 Cost $280
For the 16+ crowd. A traveling backpack trip in the Sierras where participants will explore the high desert mountains and their inner selves. They will carry all necessities on their backs as they brave the wild together.
TEEN BACKPACKING TREK > AUGUST 12-21
Ages 14-18 Cost $450
This 10-day trek will explore the forests, meadows, lakes and streams of some of the most beautiful and varied high country in the Sierra. For young people who are in good physical condition, able to hike 5-7 miles per day with pack. Cost includes round-trip transportation from Camp Stevens with a drop off in Corona and Escondido on return.
