Resident Staff (August 2019 – June 2020)

The job of Resident Staff is to learn, teach, share, help, and grow while living in community. They run outdoor education programs, host retreat groups, lend a hand in the gardens, help maintain camp, and participate in food service and dish washing. No two days are the same! Some of the tasks are unglamorous and the position requires well-rounded candidates just as happy doing dishes as they are chopping wood or leading a group of sixth graders to explore a pond. Staff are encouraged to work on passion projects as part of their job throughout the year. Food and lodging are included as part of compensation and living on-site is required. Additional benefits include healthcare, generous sick and vacation time, and opportunities for continuing education and certifications.  During days off, many staff take advantage of our proximity to San Diego County’s many outdoor adventure pursuits on and off our 256 acre property. Diversity is a priority in our community; people of all races, colors, religious beliefs, national origins, genders, experiences, and abilities are encouraged to apply. New to Camp Stevens?
