Seasonal Positions (August 2023-June 2024)

Benefits for Seasonal Employees

  • Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Birthday.
  • Housing Benefit: Shared or private room with shared kitchen, bathroom, and social spaces.
  • Full Food and Housewares Benefit: Staff can join in the dining hall for meals or bring groceries and leftovers home from the camp kitchen. Staff have full access to paper goods, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, etc.
  • Paid training: CPR and First Aid, Youth Development, Ropes Course, Archery, and others as needed

Resident Staff Position (Full Time, Seasonal)

Weekly Pay Rate: $350 plus meals and lodging

Camp Stevens Resident Staff live and work in community with the goal of contributing while learning and growing. This position does a little bit of everything including teaching/leading Outdoor Education programs, ropes course, team building, archery, and other activities, hosting family groups and retreats, and general tasks such as cleaning,  food service, and gardening.

Hospitality Coordinator (Full Time, Seasonal)

Weekly Pay Rate: $425 plus meals and lodging

The Hospitality Coordinator is the main point of contact for retreat center guests throughout their stay at Camp Stevens and aims to foster an environment of hospitality for all. This position requires independent and team oriented work, reporting directly to the Hospitality Director.

Program Coordinator (Full Time, Seasonal)

Weekly Pay Rate: $425 plus meals and lodging

The Program Coordinator plans, leads, and coordinates program and activities for youth and adults in collaboration with the Program Director. This is a leadership role mentoring and guiding other staff in youth development, teaching, and program leadership.

The Support Coordinator manages logistics and ensures execution of behind the scenes projects to ensure a safe and high-quality guest and camper experience. This is a leadership role mentoring and guiding other staff and coordinating between departments.

Year Round Positions

Benefits for Year-Round Employees

  • Housing Benefits: Coordinators, Assistants, and Specialists are entitled to a private room with shared kitchen, bathroom, and social spaces. Managers and Directors qualify for a private cabin, house, or studio onsite based on availability.
  • Full Food and Housewares Benefit: Staff can join in the dining hall for meals or bring groceries and leftovers home from the camp kitchen. Staff have full access to paper goods, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, etc.
  • Paid training: CPR and First Aid, Youth Development, Ropes Course, Archery, and others job specific training as needed.
  • Health Insurance available for individuals and families.

Maintenance Assistant (Full Time, starting August 2023) 

Hourly Pay: $17.22/hr before food and housing deduction ($11.45/hr after) overtime rates based on rate before food and housing deduction.

The Maintenance Assistant supports the management and improvement of 256 acres of camp facilities, grounds, water, electrical, septic, roadways, and forest management. This position requires independent and team oriented work, reporting directly to the Maintenance Director.

Kitchen Assistant (Full Time, rolling application) 

Hourly Pay: $17.22/hr before food and housing deduction ($11.45/hr after) overtime rates based on rate before food and housing deduction.

The Kitchen Assistant supports all aspects of kitchen operation by preparing meals according to the menu and the food service guidelines. This position requires independent and team oriented work, reporting directly to the Food Service Director or Associate Executive Director.

Farm & Garden Education Specialist (Full Time, starting August 2023) 

Hourly Pay: $19.27/hr before food and housing deduction ($13.50/hr after) overtime rates based on rate before food and housing deduction.

The Farm & Garden Education Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining an engaging, regenerative, fruitful farm and garden program. They are responsible for the day to day management of the farm, gardens, and orchard as well as creating and leading activities and opportunities for guests and campers to engage with these spaces and learn from them. This position requires independent and team oriented work, reporting directly to the Associate Executive Director.

Operations Manager (Full Time, starting August 2023) 

Hourly Pay: $20.77/hr before food and housing deduction ($15.00/hr after), overtime rates based on rate before food and housing deduction. 

The Operations Manager is the hub of camp operations supporting finance, maintaining records, administering human resources, managing technology, and coordinating vendor relationships and supporting resource planning. This position reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with all directors on department related projects.
