Jeni (she/her) is the Director of Youth Programs at Olivewood Gardens. Her experiences with food insecurity and abuse as a child drive her passion to create safe spaces for youth to learn and explore, as well as connect people to their food through garden and nutrition education. Jeni has over 15 years of experience in creating programs for and mentoring youth and a lifetime of experience growing food for herself and her community. Her oldest child attended Camp Stevens’ CT program as a teen, found a love for nature, and became a counselor that summer. Jeni was pleased to lead activities at Camp Stevens’ inaugural Black Family Camp and looks forward to the next one!

Katherine Bom (she/her) is currently Executive Director of the Refugee Network. She first served as the program manager from 2017 to 2019. She has over 10 years of experience working at all levels of nonprofit organizations. Katherine was the lead outreach worker, food distribution program manager, office administrator, receptionist, interpreter, and pastoral care minister at St.Luke’s Church. Katherine has been an active member of St.Luke’s Episcopal Church since 1998. She has served as a leader in various positions in the church, including the Bishop’s Committee, Audit Committee, and Women’s Ministry. Katherine’s educational background is in business office administration. She is fluent in English and Arabic. 

Jenny (she/her) graduated from UC Davis with a Community and Regional Development degree and has been working in youth development for over 20 years. Jenny strives to provide a safe space for staff and students to be forward thinkers, positive community members, and go beyond their own limitations. She has experience running and managing after-school programs in nonprofit and community-based sectors. Jenny played rugby in college and won a National Championship with the San Diego Surfers Women’s Rugby Team as a player and coach. She loves playing video or board games, finding new places to eat, and advocating for female sports.

Christine "Tino" Compisi (she/her) is a multifaceted individual who first connected with Camp Stevens through a spontaneous summer of service in 2004. With over a decade of experience in the medical field, she has worked as a Physician Assistant in orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and critical care, and she recently volunteered as a Summer Camp Healthcare Supervisor. As a parent, Christine guides her children to wonder and supports them in expressing their true selves. As a friend, she shares space for others in the ways the Camp Stevens community taught her.

David Jay (he/him) first came to Camp Stevens almost 40 years ago and still considers his many summers, a few winters, and occasional other seasons spent at camp to be some of the most formative times in his life. He's thrilled to be in a position to champion this incredible community and organization to the broader world and to encourage and uplift the work of those who make it such a remarkable place to inspire, challenge, and empower.

Kelli Grace Kurtz (she/her) is the Rector of All Saints Riverside in the Diocese of Los Angeles. She chairs the Program Group on Missions and the Committee on Constitution and Canons. She is a member of the Program Group on Youth and Young Adults, the Diocesan Council, and the EDLA Deputation to General Convention. Episcopal camp and conference experiences have been integral to Kelli Grace's life since childhood. She proudly maintains the Camp Stevens labyrinth, has organized women's, youth group, and vestry retreats, and has served as a summer camp chaplain for about 12 years. 

Erick (he/him) spent lots of time at multiple camps growing up. Erick lives in Santa Clarita with his husband Christopher, who serves as a summer camp chaplain and the Rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Erick has focused his career on live event production and is Vice President of Event Operations at the RedPeg Agency. Erick has been involved with many community and volunteer organizations, having served as a board member for Celebration Theatre, Emory & Henry College (Chair of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee), FETE, and Leadership Music. He is currently the board President of PFLAG Santa Clarita. 

Stephanie (she/her) first experienced the transformative power of camp as a camper in the 1980s, later becoming a counselor in the mid-1990s. She is a small business owner and full-time mother with a decade-long professional background in non-profit fundraising. Stephanie currently serves as Secretary for the Foothill High School Robotics and Super Booster Board, Vice President of Administration for the Foothill High School Men's Soccer Booster Board, Foothill High School Educational Foundation Board Member, Hewes Middle School Fall Fundraiser Chair, and is a Girl Scout Troop Leader. 

Frances Saunders (she/her) is a summa cum laude graduate of Smith College who majored in African-American studies and has over thirty years of administrative experience working in the corporate, collegiate, and non-profit sectors.  Frances' interests are broad enough to include camping at Camp Stevens, travel, touring museums, frequenting art house movie theaters, and seeing plays.  She hopes her biggest contribution to the world is that of creating an inclusive, loving, and authentic community wherever she goes.

Stefanie Wilson (she/her) is an Episcopal priest and school chaplain who lives with her husband and two young children in the San Fernando Valley. She grew up going to Camp Stevens as a camper and has fond memories of singing around campfires, making amazing friends, and feeling wonder under the stars. Stefanie now enthusiastically serves as a camp chaplain, board member, and family camp attendee (she also really cannot wait until her children are old enough to be campers).

The Rev. Ryan Macias (he/him) is an Episcopal priest serving as Associate Rector of St. Clement’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in San Clemente, California.  For him, Camp Stevens offers a unique opportunity to encounter God in the beauty of creation while fostering community, connection, and personal growth.  In addition to serving on the Camp Stevens Board and as a summer chaplain, Ryan volunteers his time as a member of the Bishop’s Commission on Ministry for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and as a board member for the Canterbury chaplaincy at the University of California, Irvine. He also serves as a convocator for his alma mater, California Lutheran University.
